astudio R&D Presented at “Developing Research in Architectural Practice” lecture
astudio’s R&D strategy and work was presented at “Developing Research in Architectural Practice” lecture arranged by RIBA NE Research and Innovation Forum. Our practice was presented as one of the 22 model practices Professor Flora Samuel (RIBA Vice President of Research) selected, to illustrate contemporary models of collaborative research work between practice and universities. She argues that not only does research lead to the development of new funding streams, it also makes practice more resilient and more intellectually exciting. We completely agree! Look out for her book titled “Why Architects Matter:Evidencing and Communicating the Value of Architects”, which will be released later this month.
